OldTown Festival is an event that gets more and more attention each year. It is a game (LARP) that lasts one week and everyone there is involved in some way. People come from many countries just to participate in this unusual LARP game for nearly 1000 people! You can be whoever the hell you wish to be. As long as it fits the post-apocalyptic lore. This year I had the opportunity to visit the place for one day and take some quick photos. And as a fanboy of Mad Max, Fallout, Stalker and other pieces of art created in this genre, after seeing how it actually looks like, I am SOLD. Next year I will cut some cans, make armor from old tires and get my cut of the bounty for a mutants head. Or maybe I will be a merchant and have my own store with a fake map for the treasure that can’t be found or get a job as a caravan guard.

I am simply THRILLED by the size and overwhelming immersion that happens, just like magic, immediately after crossing the gate of OldTown. Below, you can see a few pictures I made, but before you watch them, play this music on a separate card in your browser to get into the right mood.

Apocalyptic cult for those who look for hope.

Many vehicles can be found around wastelands. Most of them has no fuel.

Tribes and clans are creating their own camps around OldTown

medicine of postapo — You can visit the medical points, but you risk getting eaten. Don’t worry, it doesn’t happen all the time.

One tribe is obsessed with the long gone president of Poland. They believe that his spirit is watching over them constantly. Every person in the tribe learns how to write their signatures. Very rare skill in the post-apocalyptic world.

life postapo — Although dangerous and short, life seems to be more simple here. All that is important is not to die today.

Plastic is still around 100 years from now. Not really surprising.

The assassin is blending with the environment.
